Baby Gracie
Meet my new granddaughter, Gracie. She was born April 16th and weighs 4 lbs. 1 oz. She was born at 34 weeks by C-section and is our miracle baby.
The mother’s water broke a month ago and has been bed-ridden in the hospital since then. Gracie was diagnosed some time ago with a omphalicele, which is the liver outside the body.
Her lungs were extremely underdeveloped so they were concerned that she would not make it.
BUT GOD!!!!! So many prayers have been prayed for her and she is a testimony to God’s grace, thus, her name – Grace.
She is doing so well. She is being kept sedated for intubation to lungs to start them working. Her omphalocele condition is much smaller than originally diagnosed and may not require surgery. PRAISE GOD!
I have been busy being a mother-in-law, mother and grandmother to the family. Gracie has two sisters, one 11 and one 10 who are anxiously waiting for her to come home, which won’t be for a few months.
We are praising God for bringing her safely into the world with all the complications that were taking place.
Blessings to you all. I have missed you! Pat
